The Founder, out walking in the Ozark woods

Software & app studio · Missouri Ozarks · Est. 2025

Software that finds harmony, shipped.

Online stores, custom software, search over big databases, websites that get you found, and apps for phones and wrists. You talk to the person who builds it.

  • Nearly 9,000 shelter pets in one search · ten languages · a tuner that locks in 44 ms · twelve boards, zero design-rule errors · our own store, our own checkout · a guitar rig you can play in a tab · you talk to the person who builds it

What we build

For businesses that want it done right.

  1. Shopify stores and shops

A Shopify store set up properly, or a store of your own with its own cart, search and checkout, like ours.

Our store's home page: the Founder walking the woods beside “Take a little wild home.”
  2. Custom software and integrations

Web apps, internal tools and the glue between the systems you already pay for, plus open APIs that other software and assistants can use.

Our public tools page for assistants: the Founder beside “Tools for your assistant” and the address to connect
  3. Databases and search

Search across thousands of records in plain words, data that refreshes itself every day, and sync between systems. Petnecto searches nearly 9,000 shelter pets in ten languages.

Petnecto's home page: “Paw to paw. Shelter pets, one question away.”, the search box and three shelter animals
  4. Websites that get you found

Calm, fast sites that say what you offer, where you are and how to book, and look as good on a phone as on a desk.

The squatch.cc home page: a forest, a headline and a button
  5. iPhone and Android apps

Apps that keep working when the network doesn't: a home hub, a room scanner, a pedal's own app.

Squatch Reality on a phone, offering a room, a surface or an object to scan Hearth's home screen on a phone: hub ready, local only The pedal's app on a phone, showing its tuner
  6. Watch and wearable apps

Apple Watch and Wear OS companions that put the one thing you need on your wrist. We build them alongside the phone app, so the two stay in step.

Design study: a watch face drawn only from our tokens: a ring, the time, the mark and the theme name. Not a shipped app.10:08SQUATCH INKSTUDIO Design study
  7. Circuit boards and sound software

Our own products: boards designed in code and made in a real factory, a guitar tuner that locks in 44 ms, a rig you can play on a web page, plug-ins for your DAW, and keyboards on the way.

A real green circuit board of ours, MVP-1 rev B, with the Founder printed in gold in its corner

The work

Built here, working out there.

Petnecto on a desktop: the headline “Paw to paw. Shelter pets, one question away.”, a search box and three shelter animals
Petnecto on a phone: three shelter animals above the headline and the search

Databases and search · our own product

Petnecto

Nearly 9,000 adoptable shelter pets in one search. Describe the pet you hope for in your own words, in any of ten languages, and meet real animals, each linked to its shelter. Other software can use the same search through a public API.

The Squatch Stack store on a desktop: the Founder walking through the woods beside “Take a little wild home.”, with search in the header
The same store on a phone, with its menu, search and the Founder on the trail

Online store · our own

The Squatch Stack store

Our tees, mugs and caps, with a cart, search and checkout of our own, made for a thumb on a phone as much as a mouse. It is the same kind of store we build for others.

The squatch.cc home page: a forest, a headline and a button

Website · ours

squatch.cc

Our own site: hours, tap-to-call and a way to reach us at midnight, fast on a phone and plain to read.

Squatch Rig: a guitar signal chain drawn in ink, from the input through a gate, a drive pedal and three amp heads to a cabinet and the output

Sound software · our own, playable

Squatch Rig

A whole guitar rig on a web page. Wire amps, pedals and a cabinet however you like, then play through it. Nothing to install.

Squatch Trail OD as the rig draws it: drive, tone and level knobs above the Founder striding up a green hill
Squatch Claw as the rig draws it: distortion and filter knobs above the Founder clawing through grey rock
Squatch Hall as the rig draws it: mix and decay knobs above the Founder calling out in a purple forest

Sound software · our own, open source

The Squatch plug‑ins and tuner

Ten effects for your DAW as Audio Unit, VST3 and CLAP, signed and notarized for Mac, with Windows coming. The tuner runs in your browser, on a phone and on the command line. Both come from the same open sound engine as the rig, and both are free.

Close over a keyboard circuit board: the black Trailcast plate on top, its white contour lines running between the square switch openings

Keyboards · on the way

Thockfoot

Our keyboard brand: circuit boards with art in the plate that shows between the keys. Its first lines are Trailcast, a place in contour lines, and Sasqwerty, a message hidden in the letters. Our 60% test board is routed and checked, a 65% is on the way, and three plates are drawn. None is for sale yet.

Apps · iPhone and Android

Apps that keep working when the network doesn't.

  • Hearth's home screen: hub ready, local only, the weather, and a porch sensor, a hallway light and a water meter at a glance

    Hearth

A home hub with no cloud account. Every action is shown before it runs.

  • Squatch Reality's home screen: “Bring your world along.” and a choice of a room, a surface or an object to scan

    Squatch Reality

Scan a room for a measured floor plan, or an object for a 3D model you keep.

  • Squatch Provision on a phone: find your board, unlock a secure session and choose a Wi-Fi network, each step ticked

    Squatch Provision

Put a new gadget on your Wi-Fi from a web page, over Bluetooth. No app to install.

  • The pedal's iPhone app showing its tuner: E2, 4.2 cents flat, with the strobe bands below

    The pedal's app

Routing, settings and the same tuner that runs on the pedal, from your phone.

Brand systems

One set of brand decisions. Every surface follows.

We write a brand down once, as named tokens: colours, type, spacing, corners and motion. Web pages, phone apps, the screen on a device and the printed box are all built from that one set, and every colour pair is checked for readable contrast in every theme before anything ships. For a client it starts from your brief and ends with the tokens and a printable brand guide. Here is ours: switch it.
